Barbara Ann Cheaves (56) peacefully departed to her heavenly home on June 10, 2023, surrounded by her cherished loved ones. Born on October 22, 1966, she was preceded in death by her beloved mother Norma Jean Cheaves, as well as her oldest brother Jimmy Brogdon and youngest brother Ronald (R.G) Cheaves.
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her three adoring daughters: Christina Smith (Matt Smith), Jessica Hembree (Ray Hembree), and Brittany Tisdale (Clarence Tisdale III). She held her siblings, Howard Cheaves, Rhonda (James) McElhaney, and Pam Cheaves, dear to her heart. Her six grandchildren, Aidan Smith, Ansley Smith, Liam Hembree, Paisley Hembree, Clarence Mark Tisdale IV, and Mattye Tisdale, were the pride and joy of her life. Barbara also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, and her special friend and companion, Marty Everett.
Barbara's unwavering love and selflessness endeared her to all. She will be fondly remembered for her caring heart and placing others before herself. Her infectious laughter and great sense of humor made her the life of every gathering, never encountering a stranger.
Throughout her life, Barbara dedicated herself to various jobs, including caring for others, cooking, and housekeeping. Yet, her true happiness resided in the time spent with her beloved family and friends. From beginning to end, she embraced life to the fullest.
The loss of our beloved mother leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts. Barbara's love knew no bounds, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever live on as a beacon of love and kindness in our lives.
The family will be gathering with friends and family at Harrison Bay State Park at the Recreational Hall, located at 7588 Bay Marina Circle, Harrison,Tennessee, on Friday, June 16th, 2023, from 3pm to 7pm for a Celebration of Life. The family has requested that flowers be presented at the Celebration of Life.
