Barbara Ann Bowling Murphy, 79 of Rockwood, TN passed away on November 17, 2021 at Roane Medical Center in Harriman, TN. She was born in Harriman, TN on February 8, 1942 a daughter of the late James Howard Bowling of Harriman TN and Carlene Ogle Thompson of Rockledge Fla. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Harriman. She grew up in Lee Village. Went to Harriman High School. Where she played the Clarinet in the Band. She Loved music! Al Green was her Favorite artist. She Loved History. Loved to Read. Loved to Color. Loved her Family! In her later years, when she couldn't get out, she Loved listening to the message of Dr. Charles Stanley. She Loved God! She loved Animals! Especially her Cat's Sophie and MiMi!
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Alvin Murphy; her Grandparents Robert E. Lee & Rella Robert's Lee of Harriman TN; her Daughter Stacey Lynn Elmore of Harriman TN; her Grandson Robert Glenn Elmore Jr. Of Harriman TN; her Great Granddaughters Zoe' Burum & Kasey Burum of Harriman TN; her brothers: James Kenneth Lee of Harriman TN, Bill Goldston of Harriman TN and Robert E. Lee Jr. of Harriman TN and her Special lifelong Best Friend Margie Sue Tapp of Harriman TN.
Left Devastated to Cherish her Memory are her Children: her Daughter Vicki Lee Elmore Gallaher of Harriman TN and her Son Robert Glenn Elmore of Sweetwater TN; her Brothers: O'Brien Thompson of Cleveland GA, Mike (Susan) Thompson of Rockledge Fla and James Bowling Jr. of South Carolina; her Grandsons: Bryson (Casey) Burum of Harriman TN and James (Kristin) Elmore of Maine; granddaughters: Ebony Gallaher of Harriman TN, Emily Elmore (Melvin) of Sweetwater TN, Kristen (Justin) Rice of Knoxville TN and Brittany Arden (Revel) of Knoxville TN; 15 Great Grandchildren: Ezekiel, Molly, Whitley, Hakeem, River, Esai, Jonathan Jr., Mason, Braxton, Elizabeth, Kate, Blake, Brayden. Cameron and Corbin along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
She will be Terribly Missed. She was so Loved!!
