Athena Hicks

Athena "Tina" Barbara Hicks, 56, of Madisonville went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2025.

Tina was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Madisonville. She loved her family, especially her grandkids. She was devoted to her family. Tina was a fighter, she had been sick since 2007 and fought the hard fight.

Preceded in death by parents, Paul and Rosie Lee Willitt; sisters, Connie McAllister, Pauline Chambers, Faye Crawford.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Earnest "Stump" Hicks; children, Ashley (Chris) Kirkland, Clifford Hicks; 3 grandchildren, Emma Kirkland, Brantley Kirkland, and Summer Kirkland; 5 sisters, Tammy (Rick) Shell, Darlene (Mike) Perkins, Bonnie (Jack) Smith, Loretta (Glen) Presley, Sam Berry; 3 brothers, Jerry Willitt, Darrell (Brenda) Willitt, Dwight (Stephanie) Willitt; and many nieces, nephews and other loved family members.

The family will have a graveside service at Chestua Campground Cemetery (6112 US Hwy 422, Madisonville, TN) on Tuesday, January 14th at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Companion Funeral Home of Athens to help the family with final expenses.
