Arthur Matthews

Arthur Matthews, age 58, of Calhoun, departed this life on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga. Born on August 8, 1962, he spent a majority of his life between North Carolina, Florida, and Polk County, Tennessee. Arthur was a hard worker, loved to fish, and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Matthews, daughter, Danyelle Lyn Sutton; and brother, Norwood Matthews.
Left behind to cherish Arthur’s memory are his daughter and her fiancé Crystal Matthews and Jason Casteel; grandchildren, Lauryn, Kaelyn, Justyn Dalton, Abragail, and Keona; father, Sherwood Matthews; sisters, Vicki Matthews, and Tammy Mitchell; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Richard “Arthur” Matthews will be held at 7p.m. Monday , January 11, 2021 from the Cleveland Chapel with Brother Travis Bates officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6p.m until the funeral hour.
