Arthur Goode

Arthur Wade Goode, 78, Passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Arthur was born on January 30, 1946 in McDonald, Tennessee to James Goode and Corine Green. 

He was a great storyteller, musician, singer and an avid outdoorsman. In his earlier years, he liked to drag race in his 57 Chevy "Super Chicken". He loved animals and being out in nature. Arthur Wade loved his country and proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment in Vietnam. He was a great mechanic owning his own diesel repair and tire business. 

Arthur was preceded in death by his father, James Arthur Goode; and his brothers, Melvin Eddie, and Otis Jay Goode.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Corine Green; children, Donna (Gary) Eversole, Shane (Thomas) Hindman, and Rhonda (Scotty) Payne; his grandchildren, Jeremy Eversole, Kristen Jennings, Adam Goode, Brittany Green, Lacey Flores, Kailyn Millsaps, Taelyr Payne, and Shayna Payne; great grandchildren, Cambrie Eversole, Maisie Eversole, Addison Flores, Atlas Flores, and Matthew Green; and his siblings, Lonnie (Ella) Goode, Donald Goode, Wilma (Ray) Carter, Gary (Charlotte) Goode, and  Patty (Ernest) Benoit; along a host of extended family and friends.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday February 27, 2024 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland. A Graveside service is to follow at 2:00 pm at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Thomas Hindman officiating.
