Arthur Cross

Arthur Dean Cross, age 75, passed away on September 6, 2023, at his home in Cleveland, TN. He was born on November 24th, 1947 to the late Fred Robert Cross and Edna May Parris Cross.

Dean was a zinc plater at Magic Chef before his retirement. He loved to work on engines and was always fixing things.

He attended school at Michigan Avenue Elementary and Bradley Central High School.

Dean was preceded in death by his father Fred Robert Cross and Mother Edna May Cross, his sister, Debra Sue Cross and brother Harlan Dewey Cross all of Cleveland.

His memory will always be cherished by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Swaggerty Cross, his favorite daughter, Buffie Ann Roesel, of Apison, and his favorite son, Dean Martin Cross, of Cleveland. Dean's four grandchildren, Anastazia Raymer, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Kelsey Cross and Matthew Cross, both of Cleveland, Chase Roesel, of Apison, will always remember their Papaw and the wonderful times they had with him; the Christmases, snowball fights and so much more.

Dean was able to meet and hold his only great-grandson, Ben before he left. Ben will hear how proud he was of him.

Dean will be sadly missed by his three brothers, Robert Lee Cross, Clyde Fredrick Cross and Ronnie Lee Cross, his three sisters, Edna Ruth Rymer, Juanita Sue Goodner and Virgina Loise Geren, all of Cleveland.

As he wished, there will be no service. A tree will be planted in Deer Park to honor is memory.
