Arnold Ray Grady

Arnold Ray Grady, 71, lifelong resident of this area passed away on Sunday morning, November 29th, 2015 in a local health care facility following a brief illness. Ray was born in Old Fort on November 3rd, 1944 a son of the late Robert & Maggie Grady. He worked for many years until retirement at Shaw Industries in the maintenance department. Ray was an honorable discharged veteran of the United State Army after faithfully serving his country during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by one brother Robert Paul Grady Jr.
Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory one son Barry Grady and his wife Jill, one daughter Shirley Grady, four grandchildren Brittany, Megan, Chris & Cody, two great granddaughters Maisey & Oaklynn, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 from 1:00 PM PM until 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation period at 3:00 with the Pastor Steve Morgan officiating.
Interment will follow in the Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery and will conclude with military honors.
