Aranda Michelle Cochran Smith

April 13, 1979 — January 5, 2021

Aranda Michelle Cochran Smith, age 41, of Cleveland, Tennessee gained her wings on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her residence. Aranda was born in Cleveland, Tennessee to Randy Cochran and Dualene Powell.
Aranda was a graduate with an associates degree in Drama and Theatre from Snead State in Boaz, Alabama. Aranda and Chris Carter won the Alabama State Competition for Death of a Salesman. She was in many plays such as Guys and Dolls and A Few Good Men. Aranda received the "Irene Ryan" award which we know as "Granny Clampett." Aranda worked for Domino's Pizza for 15 years and was currently working for Life Bridges of Cleveland, Tennessee.
Aranda was a strong and independent woman that showed her emotions with a pencil and paper. She loved writing and poetry. She composed many poetries and stories and shared them at a place called The Well, located in Downtown, Chattanooga. She shared most of her creativity and passion with other friends and inspirations. She published her book, Healing Emotions, to the public.
Aranda is proceeded in death by her father Randy Cochran/(paternal) grandparents W.H. Cochran, and Margaret Jean Cochran. (Maternal) grandparents, D.W. "Dude" Lewis and Helen Lewis. A nephew Clayton Powell and niece Emberleigh Powell. Aranda is survived by her husband Marty Smith of Guntersville, Alabama. Her mother, Dualene Powell, of McCaysville, Georgia. Her two daughters, AnnaMae and Abigale Smith, of Cleveland, Tennessee. Her brothers Chad and Jennifer Cochran of Clayton, North Carolina, Terence and Tori Cochran of Lafayette, Georgia, Ray and Hope Powell of Georgetown, Tennessee.
Her sisters Jennifer and Mickey Schrader of Lafayette, Georgia, Brittaney and Marc Davis of McCaysville, Georgia, and her stepmother LouAnne Cochran of Lafayette, Georgia. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
