Anthony "Tony" Knight

Anthony Allen Knight, age 55, died Friday, August 9, 2024 of a heart attack. He was born January 11, 1969. Tony was a very special person. He loved everyone, and everyone loved him. God blessed him with the gift of being a wonderful pianist. He started playing at the age of seven and never stopped. He loved playing for his church and several singing groups. He loved the Lord and doing God's work. He was currently attending First Baptist Church.

Tony was a hard worker, but he enjoyed working. He started working at the age of 16 while still in high school. He worked at McDonald's all through his four years at UTC. He also started working for TVA while at UTC; he worked for TVA for 20 years. He was currently working two jobs in California and Texas. He also sold real estate for Crye-Leike. But the job he enjoyed most was building new homes for people.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Virgie Knight, and Willard and Gatha Humbard. He leaves behind to love and remember him always his parents, Roger and Brenda Knight; his brother Steve (Lisa) Knight; nephew Cody Knight; nieces Nikki (Buck) Wilcox and Savannah (Nate and their son Blake) Towers; uncles Larry (Avis) Humbard, Gary (Lynn) Knight and Denny (Imogene) Knight; cousins Larry (Gina) Humbard, Jr., Justin (Hannah and their daughter Elizabeth) Humbard, Laura Humbard, Eddie (Gina) Knight, Misty (Wayne) Williams and Jason (Krissie) Knight. Best friends Jeno Blanchard, Sherry and Doug Saffles, and all his friends that loved him.

A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Shelli Cody Sanctuary at Companion Funeral Home, 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN from 5-7 pm, with service starting at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
