Obituary

Anne Madden, 75, a longtime resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Sunday, June 29th, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. Anne was born on July 25th, 1938 in Scottsville, IL a daughter of the late Ralph and Cleo Downs. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. Anne was a loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed life to the fullest.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jim Madden, four brothers Ralph Downs II, Gene Downs, Bob Downs and Earl Downs and one sister Gloria Daech.

Anne leaves behind to cherish her memory four daughters Tarri Street, Debbie Burnette, Barbara Helms and Patti Campbell, one son Jerry Brockmiller, three sisters Shirley Kerbovac, Sandy Hackman and Mary Jaggers, four brothers Gary Downs, Bill Downs, Larry “Butch” Downs and Danny Downs, eighteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, the father of her children Robert Brockmiller, numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Collin Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Standfield Baptist Church Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a White Dove release.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday night, July 1st, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made in Anne’s memory to the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church building fund.
