Anna Goodwin

Anna Jane Goodwin, July 14, 1935 - July 8, 2024. With heavy hearts, we gather to remember the life of Anna Jane Goodwin, a cherished member of the Cleveland community, known for her love of bowling and devotion to her work family at JH Kellman Co., where she served as personnel director until retirement. She was also known for her devotion to the church families at Bethel Baptist Church and West Cleveland Baptist Church. She attended over 30 years to the USBC National Womens Bowling Tournaments and over 40+ years to the Tennessee State Women's Bowling Tournaments. Anna, born on July 14, 1935, in Cleveland, TN, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Anna was a dedicated member of various church activities and women's bible study groups, finding solace and joy in the bonds of faith and friendship. Her favorite color was purple, reflecting her vibrant spirit and personality.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband James Frank Goodwin, her parents Luther and Lola Boring Hamilton and brothers CL and Clyde Julian Hamilton.

Anna leaves behind treasured memories with her two sons, Rick (Pam) Goodwin and Terry (Beverly) Goodwin, granddaughter Amanda Freeman (Andy), Heather Rogers (Jeremy), great-grandchildren Chase (Shelby) Freeman, Chandler, Conner, and Camdyn Freeman, and Lilli and Willow Rogers; brother James (Dorothy) Hamilton and sister in law Judy Hamilton; She also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends, each a testament to the love and joy she shared throughout her life.

The funeral services to honor Anna's memory will be tenderly handled by Chris Seiber and Travis Humbard. We invite you to join us for a Visitation at Companion Funeral Home "Ridge Chapel" on July 15, 2024, at 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. The Graveside Service will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 3:30 pm, where Anna will be laid to rest in entombment.
