Florine Bain

Anna Florine Casson Bain, age 99, of Cleveland, passed away on December 28, 2024. She was the daughter of William Casson and Esther Freeman Casson. Florine was known for her cooking, antique collecting, sewing, and craft making. She counted her children and their families as her greatest blessings and never ceased to tell them how thankful she was for them. She was a wonderful mother, and we are grateful to have had her with us for so long.

Florine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clyde Bain, their son, Joel Bain, and their daughter-in-law, Jennifer Bain. She is survived by their children, Bill (Nancy) Bain, Andrea (Clarence) Shattuck and Jeff Bain; daughter-in-law, Carlene Bain; grandchildren, Nathan (Beth) Bain, Diane (Daniel) Dobbs, Jackson Bain, Aja Bain, Lydia Shattuck, and Luke (Laken) Shattuck, Matthew Alexander and Noah Alexander; great- grandchildren, Matthew, Anna and Sarah Dobbs, Jacob Gleason-Sweeney, and Judah Shattuck. Florine had resided at Brookdale Senior Living for the last 9 years, and we appreciate all who cared for her there, as well as those from Adoration Hospice in recent months.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2024 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Mack Shelton Parlor. Following the visitation a graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 2:30 pm with Honorable Judge Clarence Shattuck officiating.
