Anna Atherton

Anna Irene Atherton (Arnold) of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at 9:00 pm on May 23rd, 2025. She was born August 11, 1944 to Earl and Irene Arnold in Fayette, Mississippi. She was the second youngest of six children. She was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith and loved her Lord very much. Her greatest desire was to be reunited with her loved ones in heaven. She had many hobbies but her favorites were quilting and her flowers. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her feisty personality and "never give up" determination. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Irene Arnold, siblings Betty Maxwell, Sunshine Ainsworth, Becky Pritchard and Mack Arnold as well as two grandchildren Caleb and Abigail Gallant and one great grandchild Maddison Taylor. She is survived by her children Penny Gallant (Bryan), Jonathan Atherton, and Wendy Pollock (Larry); her grandchildren, Elijah Gallant, Hannah Gallant, Noah Gallant, Hadassah Gallant, Timothy Vassar, Zachary Vassar, Bethany Vassar, Fay Taylor; and two great grandchildren, Jaxson Sandage and Jeremiah Taylor. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Detterick. No service is scheduled at this time but will be held at a later date.
