Ann Setaro

June 29, 1945 — January 29, 2024

Ann Rita Everding-Setaro, 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, Jan. 29th, 2024 after battling lung cancer.

Daughter of Marie and Elwood Everding, Ann was born on June 29, 1945 in New York City and stayed there until she had children of her own.

She spent almost all of her adult life in Florida and relocated to Clinton, Tennessee in 2022 to live with her eldest daughter and grandson.

Ann was an amazing mother and grandmother who always took care of everyone around her. She had the biggest heart, helping to raise not only her kids, but anyone in need. She was always engaged in one craft or another. From paintings to miniatures and stenciling to stamping.

Spending time at Ann's house was always an arts and crafts hour, with baked goods in the oven and dinner simmering on the stove. Her baking legacy lives on in the big yellow bowls shelved in her daughter's and granddaughter's kitchens.

She is survived by her 10 grandchildren and three children: Dawn-Marie Setaro, Michael Setaro and Jessica Ross.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to Homecare, Hospice or Katerpillar Kids Camp. Contributions can be made by mailing a check to Fort Sanders Foundation, 280 Fort Sanders West Blvd. Ste. 202, Knoxville, 37922 or online at philanthropy.covenanthealth.com

You are encouraged to share a memory of Ann and/or your personal condolences with her family by visiting her memorial webpage and guestbook at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Athens is honored to assist her family with these arrangements.
