Ann Owen

Ann Elizabeth (Liz) Owen, 90, passed away October 19. 2024. Daughter of William and Mae Belle Wooden, who preceded her in death, Liz was born May 18, 1934, in Cleveland, TN.

Liz and her husband, Charlie Owen, were well known in Cleveland. They were managers of 58 Boat Dock and B&B Marina and owners Charlies Shoppie on Keith Street. A graduate of Bradley High School, Liz was active at Broad Street Methodist Church and spent many happy days playing tennis and bridge at Cleveland Country Club.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; daughter, Celeste Parker; brother & sister-in-law, Gene (Carlene) Wooden; brother, Tom Wooden; sister & brother-in-law Betty (Jack) Murphy.

Family remaining to cherish Liz's memory are her grandson, Owen Parker; sister, Polly (Bob) Lee; sister-in-law, Martha Wooden, as well as several nieces and nephews. Also remaining to reflect on the many hours of playing bridge, are partners Steve and Katherine Gibson.

In honor of Liz's struggles with Alzheimer's, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
