Andrew Fitch Chastain

Andrew Fitch Chastain, “See ya later.” 91, of Ooltewah, TN passed away on July 6, 2018. He was born on March 3, 1927 to the late Chalmer and Elma Chastain. Andrew has lived in this area the majority of his life and was active in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, being involved with Collegedale SDA, Ooltewah SDA, and Bowman Hills SDA. Andrew was a family man who loved his family unconditionally. He and his wife and children owned and operated Chastain Construction, Chastain Poultry Farm, and Grindstone Estates. He worked hard his whole life to provide for them. He and his wife particularly enjoyed spending time in their mountain get-away home.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Chastain; brothers: Elmer Chastain, Dr. Chalmer Chastain, and Robert Earl Chastain.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Bettie Griffin (Ric), Don Chastain (Lucia), Ken Chastain (Karen), and Jeannie Hefner (Marty); grandchildren, Tara Hills, Mandi Gane, Bekki Wade, and Tyler Hefner; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Freda Price (Fred), as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:30am until 12:30pm on Sunday July 8, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A graveside service will take place on Sunday at 1:00pm at Collegedale Memorial Park.
