Obituary
Andre Newby, 59, a resident of Tunnel Hill, GA passed away on Friday afternoon October 5, 2012 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga TN. Andre was born in Chattanooga on November 9, 1952 a son of the late Jack and Hazel Newby. He had been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. He owned and operated an upholstery business in Chattanooga as well as a gifted tattoo artist at Ink Expressions in Chattanooga. He was a very caring and giving man to all those around him that might be in need.
In addition to his parents, Andre is preceded in death by one sister Marcia Gail Steele and one brother Richard Newby.
Andre leaves behind to cherish his memory his life companion Tina Sampson; two daughters Andrea Newby and Kristy Bearden both of Dalton, GA, three sons Eric Newby (Charissa) of Ooltewah, TN, Damon Newby of Chattanooga, TN and Levi Newby of Ringgold, GA, one sister Dorothy Keith (Roy) of Ringgold, GA, three brothers Jack Newby (Betty), Bobby Newby (Tammy), and Eldun Newby (Marsha) all of Dalton, GA, thirteen grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Kinser Church of God located at 140 Kinser Road SE, Cleveland, TN 37323 with the Reverend Mike Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in United Memorial Gardens in Dalton, GA located on Cleveland Highway. Pallbearers will be fellow artist he worked with from Ink Expressions.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday night October 8, 2012 from 6 – 9 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
