Alvin John Mesarch, 97, a resident of Lafayette, Georgia passed away on Saturday October 17, 2015 in a local healthcare facility. He was born on September 19, 1918 in Dequesne, PA to the late Michael and Susan Mesarch. He married Kathleen McCain on October 16, 1943. She preceded him in death on April 9, 1983.
He was a graduate of Meadville High School and was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He worked at Westing House and Talon (Plant 7) where he spent 25 years as a set-up man.
Alvin leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Linda Kucharski, of Orlando, Florida, son, John (Notoshia) Mesarch, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, grandchildren, Michelle Kahler (Dean), Little Rock, Arkansas, Robert (Sarah) Kucharski, of Arnold, Missouri, Mindy Bradley (Jarrod), of Rogersville, Tennessee, great-grandchildren, Justin and Michael John Kucharski, Alexander Kahler, Allie and Laney Bradley, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Eli Victor, William and Richard, sisters, Sue DeRosa, Anne Mesarch, Margaret Clark, Ruth Mears, special nephew, Walter Mesarch, special niece Aves Dudash, and his son-in-law, John Kucharski.
Burial following cremation will be in Roseland Cemetery and a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Meadville Public Library.
