Obituary

Allen Cecil A.C. Humphries, 77, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday afternoon, June 6th, 2015 in a local hospital. A.C. was born Covington, VA on October 7, 1937 a son of the late Oliver Humphries and Marion Humphries Burks. A.C. was retired from the Bowater Southern Paper Corporation. He was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. A. C. loved to fish, hunt, play golf and collecting antique cars.

A.C. leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of fifteen years Patsy Guffey Humphries, four daughters Teresa Smith, Lisa Harris, Angela Rossoff and Lisa Cox, three brothers Bobby Burks of Thomasville, GA, Tommy Humphries of Rock Hills, SC and Donald Trainer of Murphy, NC two sisters Patricia Lowe of Cleveland and Susie Humphries of Rock Hills, SC, seven grandchildren Alex Harris, Sarah Lamb, Byron Wilson, Leila Thomas, Elijah Thomas, Colby Glass and Macy McGuire, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday night, June 11th, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the Shenandoah Baptist Church located at 138 Osment Road SE in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Brent Coley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday afternoon from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.

The family will meet on Friday morning, June 12th, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Calhoun First Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment and committal service.
