Alicia Renee "Lisa" Moon Townsend, 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, February 6, 2024, at Emory Hillandale Hospital in Lithonia, GA. Lisa was a 1989 graduate of Howard High School. A devoted and God-fearing woman, Lisa was the epitome of a loving wife and mother. Her warmth extended beyond her immediate family, as she never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms. The radiance of her smile could light up any room, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to bask in its glow.

The true source of Lisa's greatest joy was her grandchildren. Their presence brought immeasurable happiness to her life, and she reveled in every moment spent with them. She actively participated in her grandson's events, family gatherings, and alumni functions. Lisa's presence was a constant source of encouragement and love, leaving an indelible legacy of warmth and joy.

Lisa was not only the life of the party but also a diva with a passion for fashion, shopping, and traveling. Her vibrant spirit was evident in the way she adorned herself and embraced life's adventures. Lisa's love for cooking was a testament to her nurturing nature, and she found immense joy in preparing delicious meals. Her kitchen was not just a place of culinary magic but also a backdrop for the melodies of her favorite tunes, where she would sing and dance with infectious enthusiasm.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Ivan Dean Moon, Sr.; grandmothers, Sallie Edmonds, and Frances Moon; Aunt Will; uncle, Anthony Edmonds; cousins, Kevin McCullough, Roland McCullough, Willie Edmonds, Jr., and Tyecha McCullough. Left to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Earnest Townsend; daughters, Vanessa Moon, Marquisia Moon; grandsons, Malik Rizer, De'Shun Tipton, and Kayden Kitt; mother, Doris Moon; sisters, Sylvia Moon and Rhonda Watkins; brother, Ivan Dean Moon, Jr.; nephew, Demetrius Johnson; best friends, Crystal and Denise; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, god children, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM -8:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Companion Funeral Home-Chattanooga, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
