Alex Taylor Ahrens

Alex Taylor Ahrens, 66

Born 4/24/57 in Valley Stream, New York. A native New Yorker that became a true cowboy in 2000 when he and Colleen, his bride of 41 years, moved the family to Tennessee. Alex loved his boots and hats and was in his true element in TN. He had three beautiful children Allison (Steve), Kyle (Kristine) and Jaclyn (Travis). He was such a proud dad but when the grandchildren started up he was officially Poppa to 9 fabulous kids. Steven, Serenity, Jayden, Landin, Gianna, Adalyn, Elias, Brennan and Ryden.

Alex was a veteran of the Army and National Guard and had different trades through his life. Life was not always easy but one thing that was always steady was LOVE.

Alex had a valve replacement at the age of 35 years old and a stroke in 2009. He was a miracle coming back from his stroke. Fighting back to be with his family. He got a second chance and thank God he did because he needed to be the great Poppa!

He bought all his grandchildren cowboy boots when they were born. Alex had a great love of horses and owned a few in his lifetime.

Alex will be missed by his brother Daniel and his sister in-laws Teres, Kerri and Pamela. His nephews Michael (Lisa) and Sean and niece Madison.

He will be especially missed by the family he created with Colleen his wife and soulmate, their children and grandchildren.

Alex Taylor Ahrens went to be with the lord on June 19, 2023 in Sweatwater TN. May he rest in peace and be free of all pain.
