Alex Jordan Whitmire

Alex Jordan Whitmire, 34, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Wednesday May 5, 2021. He was born on September 29, 1986. He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland. Alex enjoyed hanging out with his friends, traveling with his family on vacations, riding 4-wheelers, and taking care of people. He had a big heart and was a friend to all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his brother Stephen Lewis Whitmire; grandparents: Pat Hendrix, Ernest L. and Amy Lee Whitmire; great grandmother Dorothy Layman; and aunt Samantha Renee Whitmire.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandfather Byron Hendrix; father Sammy (Marie) Whitmire; mother Lisa Jordan Whitmire Gates; half brother Tyler Whitmire and stepbrother Michael Leamon; sister in law Amy Whitmire and nieces Laynee Whitmire. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Alex’s life will be held at Companion Funeral Home, Cleveland Chapel, on Monday May 10, 2021 at 1:00pm with Rev. Daniel Bowles officiating. His family will receive friends from 12:00pm-1:00pm prior to the service. Following the service, Alex will be laid to rest at Beta cemetery. Jerry Hendrix, Tommy Hendrix, John Hendrix, Tyler Whitmire, and Rev. Daniel Bowles will serve as pallbearers.
