Alex P. Hayes

Alex P. Hayes, 65, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Alex was born on February 6, 1959 in Cleveland to the late Joe and Betty Hayes. Alex enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, making art, and riding his motorcycle. Alex was an avid outdoorsman. He always saw the best in anyone that he met. Alex was a proud father, dedicated grandfather, and a craftsman.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Hayes.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Sarah (Andy) Clark, Elizabeth (Tanner) Gatlin, and Jacob (Infinity) Gatlin-Hayes; two grandchildren, Hayes Clark, and Zen Gatlin-Hayes; the mother of his children, Nicka Boone; brother, Barry (Cathy) Hayes; and his sister-in-law, Lorraine Hayes; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland at 6:00 pm with Reverand Guin Green officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm prior to the service.
