Alan Douglas Brown

Alan Douglas Brown, 46, died unexpectedly on June 15, 2017. He was a graduate of MTSU, and also continued taking courses at the University of Wyoming, UTC, and Chattanooga State. He had a deep interest in history and anthropology. He was especially interested in the Vietnamese War and music. He was a quiet, unassuming, and scholarly person. He cared deeply for his friends and his family. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He was the first child baptized in the St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, where his parents, Ralph and Martha Brown, were charter members.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Allison Brown; mother, Martha Brown; lifelong friend, Brett Rucker; mother of his daughter, Connie Jones; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service is planned for 2:00pm on Friday June 23, 2017 at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, located at 7514 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343.
