Winston Jerry Walden

Bishop Winston (Jerry) Walden 60 of Bean Station, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly Wednesday October 2nd, 2019 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was born March 6th, 1959 in Charleston, South Carolina. Jerry was a loving devoted husband, daddy, son, brother, papaw and uncle. He was a dedicated man of God in the ministry for 25 yrs. Currently serving as Senior Bishop of Bean Station Church of God. He had a passion for missions and a love for Israel. He will be remembered for his deep love for people.

He is proceeded in death by his Father Winston Joseph Walden. Brothers Anthony Joseph Walden and William Burke III. Grandparents Raymond and Frances Tufts. William Jackson and Lula Walden.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 41 years Debbie Walden. Children Mindy Walden (Jeremy) Daniels. Jerrigayle Walden (Tony) Fox. William Justin Walden. God Son Edward (Kristin) York. Grandchildren Jared Allen Daniels, Abigail Faith Benson, Austin Haze Daniels, Braylee Ann (Walden) Gardner, Kayden James Daniels, Genesis Allene Mackenzie Benson, Tyler Anthony Fox. 2 God Grandchildren Mallori Gwyn York, Judah Wayne York. Mother Linda Gail Tufts Burke. Step Father Bishop William Bill Burke. Sister Tammy Gail Walden (Randy) Bragg. Brother Bishop Tommy (Tammy) Burke. Several brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins that held a special place in his heart and a whole host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, October 4, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Bean Station Church of God located at 171 Bylo Road in Bean Station, TN 37708. A service celebrating his life is planned to follow the visitation time at 7:00 PM with the Dr. Donald Walker officiating.
The family will also receive friends on Saturday morning, October 5, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. At noon, the family will leave the funeral and proceed to Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Benton, TN for the interment and committal service.
