Willie Joe Barrow

Willie Joe Barrow, 85, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Saturday November 7, 2015. Joe was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He grew up in Chattanooga and the last years in East Chattanooga where everyone called him Mr. Joe. He loved music, fishing, and the history of Chattanooga. Anyone that knew Joe knew he was a slow going, laid back kind of guy.
He worked at Cumberland Case, RC Bottling Company, Wheeland Foundry and retired from the City of Chattanooga Street Department, Goodwill Industries and Aztec as guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Alzada Barrow and two siblings; his wife of many many years, Frankie L. Barrow but Joe called her “Honey.” He is survived in death by his second and former wife, Billie Moore Barrow, sister Alzada Farris Neal of Decatur, GA and several nieces and nephews; brother in laws: Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hampton of Chattanooga and Mr. Eddie Lee Hampton of Huntsville, AL; sister in laws: Earline Gurley of Chattanooga and Lillie Sledge of Huntsville, AL.
A graveside service will be held on Friday November 13, 2015 at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30pm with Pastor Ron Cook of Rock Island Church officiating. Full Military honors will be present at the service.
Many thanks go to Amedysis Home Health and Hospice Care givers and Dr. Ardyss Ridolfo for many home visits. Joe is gone but never forgotten.
