William Jeffery Lakin

William “Jeff” Jeffery Lakin, 59, passed away on Friday, April, 29, 2022. Jeff was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 31, 1962 to the late William Howard Lakin and Emma Frances Smith-Lakin. He graduated from Bryant High School. Jeff enjoyed pastoring and serving the Lord, spending everyday making memories with the love of his life and family, as well as fishing, golfing, traveling, and having his feet in the sand while eating crab legs.

Jeff was a Senior Rep Driver for Labcorp. He married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Lakin, and they settled in Chattanooga, Tennessee and celebrated 41 years of marriage in November. The only thing that Jeff and Lisa ever had a throwdown about was over Arkansas Razorbacks and Georgia Bulldogs. Even on some of his hardest days, he still would not convert over!

Along with his mother and father, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Big Mike Lakin.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lisa Gortney-Lakin; his daughters, Christy “Bear” (Marty) Loveless, Alyssa “Tiger” Lakin; his sons, William Jarrett “The Brick” Lakin, Joshua “Theo” Brandon Lakin; his grandchildren, Kyah “Kyacher”, Camryn “Stick Man”, Ciera “Umpadoodle” Roberson, Aubrey “Sunshine”, Gavin “Gavinator”, Maddox “Mad Man”, Luke “Lukie”, Liam “Mister” Lakin; his great grandchild, Mateo “Mini Mister” Roberson; his parents, Lou (Nanny) Lakin; his brothers, Mikey (Kari) Lakin, Ken (Linda) Hardy, Kevin Hardy; his sisters, Susan (Mark) Griffen, Karen (Mike) Keys; along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Parksville Lake in Ocoee, Tennessee.
