William J. "Dub" Posey

William J. “Dub” Posey, 80 a resident of Georgetown passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Saturday night, October 5, 2019.
Dub was born in Birchwood TN to the late W.B. and Mary Elizabeth Posey, and has lived in the Birchwood area until he met and later married his loving wife Lucille. He retired from Foamcrete Construction after many years of service and was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Those left to cherish Dub’s memory is his loving wife Lucille, son, Johnny Ray Goodner (Beth); daughters, Brenda Sawyer, and Karen Murphy, grandchildren, Michelle McLain (Jason), Rena’ Murphy (Shane), Jeremy Davis, Scotty Murphy, Josh Goodner (Tanya), special granddaughter, Joanie Goodner (Jason Walker), Sara Goodner and several great grandchildren including special great grandson Robbie Murphy as well as 1 great-great granddaughter.
There will be a private memorial service held for Dub at a later date.
