Wayne Pierson Sudduth

Wayne Pierson Sudduth was born February 14, 1936 at home in Thomasville GA to Carl and Anne Laura. He was adopted by his paternal grandparents when he was 4 years old. From the third grade he was raised in the Collegedale, Tennessee area, graduating from Collegedale Academy in 1954.
Wayne had many occupations throughout his adult life: Teaching, Maintenance, School Bus Driver, Construction, House Husband, and Small Engine Repair Man. He has been an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church wherever he lived. He participated by playing the piano, helping in Sabbath School and Pathfinders, and as an Elder. He moved from Crystal Springs, MS to Cleveland, TN about five years ago.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Carl Sudduth and Anne Laura Hutchison Sudduth McWhorter; grandparents J.A. Sudduth and Hestor Malory Sudduth, and brother Mervin Sudduth.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Jeanne Ziegele Sudduth, sons Michael Sudduth and Arthur Sudduth (Brianna), daughters Regina Petros (Johny), Julia Sudduth, and Susan Johnson (JJ), eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and cousin Velma Berrup.
Wayne is resting in Jesus until He comes and wakes him up. May we be ready to join him on the way to heaven.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 4:00pm at Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church with Richie Halversen officiating.
The family will receive friends at Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist church in Cleveland, Tennessee from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
