Wayne Harvey Reagan

November 12, 1938 — April 7, 2022

Wayne Harvey Reagan, age 83 of Cohutta, Georgia, and formerly of Cleveland, Tennessee went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 7th, 2022.

Wayne was preceded in death by his loving parents Ellis and Alma Oliver Reagan, brothers Winfred, Bill and Tennis Reagan and sisters Margie Kendrick and Mary Ann Barbree. Left to cherish his memory are his adoring wife Betty Skidmore Reagan, daughter Tina Reagan, daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Christian Howard, beloved grandson Samuel Howard and granddog Brinkley

He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Cecil and Pat Reagan of Cleveland, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Edward Smith, Verla and Steve Akins, sister Shirley Knight and sisters-in-law Judy Reagan and Irene Reagan all of Cleveland. Also treasuring his memory are his wife’s brother and sister-in-law Bo and Jacque Skidmore, sisters Dot McCamy, Mary Singleton, Clara Downey, sister and brother-in-law Judy and Jack Key, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Wayne proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.

As an outdoor enthusiast and an avid photographer, Wayne loved to travel and to share photos and videos of his adventures with family and friends. He especially enjoyed sharing recollections of the cross country trip that he took with his wife and children.

Wayne adored motorsports, especially Nascar racing. He was a licensed ham radio operator and enjoyed participating in the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club and attending Hamfests whenever possible. His call sign was AC4FB.

What Wayne valued above all was faith, family and friends. He never met a stranger and was a true people person. He loved to strike up a conversation with anyone who had a minute to talk. Before the pandemic, he was a long serving member of the unofficial Hardees Breakfast Club at Keith Street in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Cohutta, Georgia. Interment, with military honors, will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. There will be a private viewing for the family beginning at 12:30 P.M. on Friday at the Church, followed by visitation for friends from 1 to 3 P.M. Companion Funeral & Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 218, Cohutta, GA 30710.
