Wanda Lee Venable

Wanda Lee Venable, 74, of Georgetown, TN, passed away on November 26th, 2016 at home. Wanda was born June 30th, 1942 in rural McMinn County, TN to the late James Carl and Beulah Lonas. She married Kenneth Earl Venable on June 29, 1957 in Iowa. They lived in Rockford, IL for thirty-five years before retiring to Georgetown, TN. Wanda was a talented ceramic artist, cake designer, and crafter. She was a baptized Jehovah’s Witness and member of the congregation of Decatur, TN.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and eldest daughter, Kathy Lea Hayes.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Earl Venable; daughter, Gladys Ann (Michael) Anderson of Georgetown; brother, Carl “Pete” Lonas of Rockford, IL; granddaughter, Kami (Michael) Espinoza of Athens; granddaughter, Susan (Jonathan) Claar of Beersheba Springs; granddaughter, Melissa (Brian) Bahr of Chattanooga; granddaughter, Michelle Anderson of Georgetown; granddaughter, Mary Anderson of Georgetown; great granddaughters, Isabella, Mia, Sofia and great grandson, Lucas.
There will be a memorial service planned at a later date.
