Walter "Rick" Nichols

September 6, 1954 — October 17, 2020

Walter “Rick” Nichols, 66, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Coming from Ringgold, he was a resident of Tunnel Hill for the past four years. Rick was a vet of the Korean War. He was also a diehard Harley rider and an avid hot wheel collector. If you couldn’t find Rick he would be gone on his Harley. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Dixon Nichols and Eunice Faye May; and sister, Barbara May.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Candice (Darren) Sharp; grandsons, Dalton (Megan) Williams and Ashton Holbrook; siblings, Debbie (Daniel) Defore, Beverly (Johnny) Mullins, Greg (Gayle) Nichols, Carol (Alan) Kendrick, Jimmy (Missy) May, Jack May, Donna (Mark) Tidwell, and Cathy Stroud.

The family will hold a private graveside service in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held and announced at a later date.
