Virginia B. Worthy, 86, of Athens, TN passed away February 13, 2020. She was preceded in death by her sister, Vassie Jirles, five brothers, Elbert Brazzell, Lemuel Brazzell, Clifford Brazzell, Reed Bowers, and Landon Brazzell, four sisters in law, Margaret Brazzell, Katie Ockletree, Juanita Worthy, Irene Hatfield and a brother in law, Elma Worthy. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Marvin L. Worthy, a son, Michael (Theresa) Worthy of Grand Prairie, TX, two daughters, Yvonne (Michael) Langjahr of Athens, TN and Judy (Kenneth) Higgins of Chattanooga, TN, three grandchildren, Amanda Grantham of Grand Prairie, TX, Kameron Higgins and Jennifer (Brice) Breakey, both of Chattanooga, TN, two great grandsons, Wyatt and Jesse Grantham, both of Grand Prairie, TX, two nephews, Ben (Melinda) Brazzell of Georgia and Phil (Gloria) Brazzell of Athens, TN, a cousin, Jim (Pat)Thomas of West Manchester, TN, a sister in law, Velma Brazzell of Athens, TN and extended family members, Carl Langjahr, of Cleveland, OH, David (Melanie) Langjahr of Norwalk, OH, Allen (Tammy) Langjahr of Sparta, NJ, and Jeanne (Terry) Herold of Cleveland, OH. Services and burial were held at Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, TN.
