Vickie L. Deeter

Vickie Linn Deeter, 67, of Cleveland, TN, passed away November 5, 2022, at her residence. Born July 16, 1955, in Berywn, IL, to the late Robert Glen Cox, Sr. & Helen Jane (Fox) Cox. Vickie was a longtime foster parent to Dominic & Donavan Deeter, Elijah & Natalie Osborne, several other children over 20 years. She was also a loving stepmother to Toby and Larry (Leoner) Deeter, Jr. She was an ordained minister and worked 25 years until her illness. Vickie never met a stranger and would help anyone in need, she never turned anyone away. Her passion was helping all.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; loving stepfather, Edward Deal; children, Kenneth Melvin Deeter & Bobby Jo Farmer; 2 brothers; stepmother, Betty Jean Cox; granddaughter, Jessica Linn Hatchett; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Melvin Deeter, Sr.; daughter, Misty (Robbie) Greene, of Georgetown, TN; sons, James (Charity) Osborne, III and Chuck (Missy) Learh, of Illinois; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Kenneth) Deeter; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, Cleveland, TN.
