Veta Iva Harris

Veta Iva Harris, 89, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was born on August 5, 1927 to the late Luther Albritton and Charlcie Hicks Albritton. Veta was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and took great pride in helping those in need. She was known for loving gardening, ceramics, quilting, and sewing. She was also an ordained minister in the Church of God, and was a member of the Mountain View Church of God. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Reed Harris, and her son Norman Harris, as well as her siblings, Adessa Theodocia (Albritton) Graig, Eldon John Albritton, Mammie Sue (Albritton) Beshears, Angie Dean (Albritton) Green, Mary Joyce (Albritton) Strickland.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Anthony (Donna) Harris; grandchildren, Crystal Keck and Rebecca Harris; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda (Andy “Mickey”) Rymer and Star Burnette.
Visitation is planned from 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Mountain View Church of God, located at 210 Roadway Drive SE.
A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 3:00pm also at the church. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Cawood, Robbie Sherlin, Brian Scoggins, Steve Scoggins, Jeff Verner, and Gary Winner.
