Troy Baker

Troy Baker, 56 of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on December 7, 2022. Originally from the Memphis area, he was a resident of the Cleveland area for most of his adult life. He was a “rebel with a cause” who had overcome much in his life. He was a beloved and devoted staff member of The Caring Place serving since 2020 as the Assistant Food Warehouse Manager. Here he shared his love of Christ with many and was a steady support to anyone in need. He was an active member of the ministry of Pastor Teresa Oglesby and Caroline Scott at the House of Refuge community. His life served as a testimony to the redemptive power of the Lord at work. He leaves behind many special friends and loved ones in the community. Troy, in every aspect of his life, served to encourage others to seek the Lord. Troy is remembered by many for his simple but heart-felt response when asked how he was doing. His reply was always, without fail, “Blessed every day.”

A memorial to honor the life of Troy will be held on December 28, 2022 with visitation 2:00 pm and a Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home on Georgetown Road.
