Timothy Edward Perkins

Timothy Edward Perkins, 54, born on September 17th, 1967, life-long residence in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, went home to be with the Lord on September 25th, 2021, from COVID-19. He attended Battlefield Community Ministries. In the words of his nephew Zak, “Tim was a man with a tough exterior and a mischievous sense of humor. Once you got past those, though he was rarely vulnerable he was a loyal person and would do anything in his power to lend a hand to his family and friends.” Everyone he knew said he brought a smile to their face and fun attitude.” He owned and operated RatRod Towing along with working for Headricks Body Shop and Miller Industries. He is preceded in death by his father James “Ed” Perkins.

He is survived by his mother Judy Smith of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga, daughter Leah Perkins, sister Jaime Perkins Jackson of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. (aka as said by Tim as his mother’s daughter) half-sister Rene’ Baker (aka as said by Tim the sister he claims) Fort Oglethorpe, Ga half-sister Becky Frey (Randy) nephews Zak & Zane Jackson, Niece Tiffany Horan (Shane) Uncle Randy Smith (Lisa) Aunt Kathy Carpenter (Keith). Childhood best friend Jeff Sampley, long-time friends Joe Glover and Jesse McClure.

Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 at Battlefield Community Ministries in Fort Oglethorpe, GA at 6 pm.
