Thomas Grant Thompson

Thomas Grant “Tommy” Thompson, 78, of Sweetwater, Tennessee passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022. Tommy was born on August 10, 1943, in Athens, Tennessee to the late Elisha and Viola Thompson. Tommy loved all things sports especially the Tennessee Volunteers.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Thompson; sister, Betty Garren; and brother-in-law, Joe Garren.
Ge leaves behind to cherish his memory, his ex-wife and caretaker, Mary Todd; nieces, Patti Garren, and Elisha (Eric) Arnett; great nephews, Austin Arnett, and Gavin Arnett; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Riceville First Baptist Church Cemetery.
