Founder of Signal Machine, Inc.


Thomas F. Hall, 70, a lifelong resident of Signal Mountain passed away on October 26, 2022 in

a local healthcare facility after a short illness. Thomas was born on November 23, 1951. He was a graduate of Kirkman High School and went to work as a Machinist after that. In 1983 he founded Signal Machine, Inc. Thomas grew that into a business that employed over 90 people and did work all throughout the Southeast. He took great pride in building a thriving business that supported many families throughout his time there. He retired in 2018. When he wasn’t at work you could find him in the woods hunting another trophy or watching the Tennessee Vols.


Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Debbisu Hall, son Charlie Hall along with his

parents, Burrel and Margarette Hall and his brother’s Henry and Hubert.


He is survived by his children Casey (Hope) Hall, Shelby (BJ) Jones, Sarah (Ethan) Scott and

Gabe Hall, his sister’s Marjorie Moore (Fred), Shelia (Paul) Thomas, Peggy (Jim) Dowd, and Patsy

(Chuck) Brown plus many nieces and nephews and his special friend Katherine Peterson. He is

also survived by his 4 granddaughters Serena, Harper, Everly and Maggie who he loved and

spoiled more than anything.
