Thelma Leastie Liner

Thelma Leastie Liner, 84, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 20, 2023. She was born on June 5, 1938 to the late James and Edith Townsend.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working in her flower garden, and those who knew her will forever remember her great sense of humor and her love for laughter. She loved her home and loved her family dearly, especially her very special great granddaughter, Harper.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Shirley Williams, Blaine Townsend, Ronnie Townsend, Ray Townsend, Roy Townsend, and Bobby Townsend; sons Doug Liner and John Liner; daughter-in-law Jody Liner.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Niki Sharp and Donna Cansler (Jake); grandchildren: Amy Nave (Chad), Becky Keller (Josh), Shane Cansler (Erin), Dustin Cansler (Kaylee Brown), and Brooke Huff; great grandchildren: Alexis Haney, Isaiah Nave, Harper Sharp, Calli Keller, Avery Cansler, Teagan Cook. In addition to these she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Her family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm at Companion Funeral Home on Sunday April 23rd with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7pm with Rev. B.J. Miller and Rev. David O’Neal officiating. She will be laid to rest at Council Baptist Church Cemetery at 10am on Monday April 24th.
