Teresa Marcelle Johnson

Teresa Marcelle (Davis) Johnson, 60, of Cleveland, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at a Chattanooga hospital. A Cleveland native, she was born August 18, 1957, to Wendell and Bettye (Trimm) Davis. She is survived by her husband, Foster Johnson; her children, Wendy Coultry (Dayton), Master Sergeant William Ryan Coultry (Ft. Irwin, California); her step-daughter, Lori Johnson (Ringgold, Georgia); grandchildren: Tristan Bodine and Justin, Christopher and Rachel Johnson; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her step-father, Clifton Moore; sister, Tami (James) Sanford; nieces, Kara and Kellianne Sanford; Uncle Windom (Yonna) Davis; brothers-in-law, James (Debbie) Johnson and Richard (Rachel) Johnson; and many cherished cousins. Her dogs, Yogi and Sparky, were her closest companions, but she had a great love for all animals and always had many pets – horses, dogs and cats.
Teresa was highly intelligent, with near-perfect recall. She graduated from Cleveland High School and Cleveland State Community College, then worked as a computer programmer for many years. Her busy mind meant that she had a wide variety of hobbies, which included cooking, gardening, reading, and most recently, her print-quality coloring. She was also a talented musician who mostly taught herself to play the flute, the guitar and the piano.
The family will receive friends at the Companion Funeral Home chapel on Friday, December 22, 2017, from 6-8 p.m.
