Susanne Marie Surprise

Susanne Marie Surprise, 75, a resident of Sweetwater, TN passed away at her home on Wednesday October 12, 2022. She was born in Putnam, CT on December 6, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Oliver Viens and Georgette Claire Dumas. Susanne was of the Catholic faith. She was the Godmother of her stepdaughter Brenda Lee Tremblay.

Susanne enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, crocheting, and had a passion for animals. She loved her Keeshond Shelly very much. She will always be remembered as a person with a big heart. She was retired from the Xtra Mart in Thompson, CT in which she was a receptionist there for many years. She resided in Sweetwater, TN 8 years ago.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David Allen Surprise Sr., a Marine Veteran.

Susanne leaves behind her loving sister, Sister Phyllis Viens of Plainfield CT; a stepson David Allen Surprise Jr. of Putnam CT; a stepdaughter Brenda Lee Tremblay and her step son-in -law Raymond James Tremblay Sr. of Athens, TN; three grandsons, Nickolas Adams, Raymond James Tremblay Jr. and Riley Surprise; one granddaughter Heather Tremblay and one great grandson Jackson Adams.

The family and friends will be received at a later date at a Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church in Athens, TN. In lieu of flowers the family appreciates monetary donations to cover funeral expenses. Funds may be sent to Brenda Tremblay at 285 County Road 53, Athens, TN 37303
