Sue Christopher

April 29, 1947 — May 8, 2017

Sue Christopher, 70, a resident of Apison, Tennessee, passed away on Monday May 8, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Newark, Ohio on April 29, 1947 to the late Wayne and Lois Stockberger. Sue enjoyed cooking, gardening, and family. Sue also had a deep passion for helping her patients through her work as a Hospice Nurse. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Hopkins.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 15 years, Val Christopher; children, Corey Gasperson and Tina Philippe (Eric); grandchildren, Draven Gasperson, Stiles Davin Hopkins (Sean), Darian Hopkins, Daelynn Hopkins, and Danae Hopkins; brothers, Allen Stockberger and Mark Smith; sister, Tonda Snoey; stepbrother, Ted Johnston; stepsister, Donna Johnston; as well as extended family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service is planned for 3pm on Saturday May 13, 2017 at Hamilton Community Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 7997 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to East Tennessee Home Health Care and Hospice for providing her the opportunity to help those in need through her work as a Hospice Nurse, as well as providing excellent care for her in her final days.
