Steven Whaley

Steven Whaley, 34, of Decatur, TN passed away on March 24, 2023. Steven was born on January 20, 1989, in Cleveland, TN. He was of the Christian faith. Steven loved to do anything outside, but fishing was his passion. He had the biggest heart and never met a stranger. Anyone who knew him knew how caring and king hearted he was. If he loved you, he loved you forever and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. His two sons were his world and he loved them with all his heart. Steven impacted all the lives of his family and friends and they loved him very much.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James “Toby” Whaley and grandmother, Dorothy S. “Dot” Whaley.

He leaves behind his parents Pam Whaley, Bobby Grissom, and Tim Davis; his wife Crystal Whaley; sons Toby Whaley and Zander Whaley; siblings Carrie Hughes, Zach Greer, and Travis Grissom; nieces Ali and Maddie Hughes, Piper and Echo Greer; and nephew Zachary Greer Jr.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 7:00 PM.
