Steve Franklin Stokes

Steve Franklin “Bones” Stokes, 46, of Decatur, TN went home to be with the Lord on July 12th, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Steve was employed at Tennessee River Implement as a welder. He was of the Baptist faith. Steve loved his family, chickens and was always full of life and quick with a joke. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his father Charlie Stokes.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 21 years Marion Stokes, his loving mother Louise Stokes, one son Steven Stokes Reedy and husband Leo of Collins, NY, two daughters Bridget Gabbert and husband Justin of Clarksville, TN and Angel Branam and special friend Alan Taylor of Athens, TN, one grandson and one granddaughter both very much loved. He is also survived by four brothers David Stokes (Kristy), Bobby Stokes (Teresa), Randy Stokes (Christi) and Adam Stokes (Rosanna Baker), two sisters Brenda Millsaps (Junior) and Mary Ensley (Dewayne), numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. Uncle Bones was loved by all his nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life is planned for Friday, July 14th, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Union Grove Baptist Church located on old highway 30 east in Decatur, TN with the Reverend Jimmy Lewis and the Reverend Earl Graves officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time at the church.
A private interment will take place at a later date in the Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery with David Stokes, Bobby Stokes, Randy Stokes, Adam Stokes, Steven Stokes Reedy, Ralph Elliott and Kenny Fairbanks serving as honorary pallbearers.
