Steve Donald "Cuz" Thurman

Steve Donald “Cuz” Thurman, 64, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at a Chattanooga Health Facility. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a good man. He was a loving father, son, and brother.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jo; parents, Wesley and Martha Wilson Thurman; and brothers, Earnest “Buddy” and Roy Lee Thurman.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Brian (Susan Peace) Thurman; Jake (Mildred), Roger (Carolynn), Ricky (Gail), and Tim (Pam), Sandra (Bill) Parker, and Barbara Kile and Jerry Gables. Granddaughter-in-law, Shanay Jack; great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Nicole Jack.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 4:00PM in the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland on Sunday, December 15, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00PM with Pastor Lake Walker officiating.
