STEPHEN TOD GROSSCOPE, age 68, passed away at his home in Cleveland, TN on November 24, 2017. He was born in Manhattan Beach, California on November 12, 1949 to Margaret Louise Durney and George William Grosscope. There were many places he called home; some of his favorite locales were McLean and Great Falls, Virginia where he bought his first house. And after that he called Berkeley Springs, West Virginia his home. Over the course of his life he traveled to Colombia, Costa Rica, Europe and a few islands in the Caribbean. His favorite vacation spots were often anywhere with a beach and he frequently visited with his brother Kim Stansfield Grosscope and family in Galveston, Texas.
Steve attended George Mason University and the University of South Florida and enjoyed his time in Tampa. He worked as a contractor and painter, he owned his own business called STG Decorators and was very talented making his own paint colors along with hanging wallpaper, creative tile installations and would often do remodeling jobs from start to finish.
Steve had two children who he loved with all his heart. Everyone that knew him well would often say that he was a very kind and sweet soul and had a very generous heart.
Steve is survived by his daughter Bianca Rose Grosscope, son Casey Angelo Grosscope, his daughter in law Nicole Lee Jarman, and they are the parents of grandson Henry Lee Grosscope.
He is also survived by Kim’s wife Diana Lynn Grosscope, and their children, niece Morgan Kiana Grosscope, and nephew Travis William Grosscope, as well as his brother Gregory William Grosscope and his two sons, nephews Todd Edward Dewey and Alexander Dodd Dewey.
