Obituary

Stacy Daigre Strong, 57, died on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee following a brief illness.

Born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi, Stacy attended Natchez public schools and was active with Colonial’s Ladies, Young Republicans, was a camp counselor for many years, and an avid water skier. She was a Kappa Delta at LSU and graduated from Miss Wade’s Fashion Merchandising School in Dallas, Texas. After 20 years in fashion merchandising, she then pursued a career in medical sales in Birmingham, Alabama. Longing to return to Natchez, she used her exceptional cooking skills to create and operate Supper Thyme Catering Business. During this time, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church

Stacy is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Ruth Stacy.

Her surviving relatives are her father, Benny Daigre; her mother, Jo Ann Stacy Koonce; her son, Cole (Ashley) Strong; her daughter, Carrie (Noah) Welborn; her brothers, Darrell (Lisa) Daigre and Alan (Cindy) Daigre; and six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Lucas, Olivia and Nora Strong; and Abagail and Kinsley Welborn.

Services will be held at The Chapel at Lee University, 1020 North Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends at 4:30 and a memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 8, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America.
