Shirley Leone Chastain

Shirley Leone Chastain, 93, a resident of Collegedale, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday morning, August 5, 2017. Shirley was born on March 14, 1924 to the late Genoa & Ellen Howe Zollinger. She worked for many years in the family business and was a vital part to its success. All that knew Shirley, knew that she had a kind, genuine heart that was always eager to give. Her generous hospitality and her love for working with kids were always wonderful traits that were observed by all those around her. She will be dearly missed.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, George Zollinger, Glen Zollinger, and Eddie Zollinger.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 69 years, Andrew Chastain; children, Bettie Griffin (Ric), Don Chastain (Lucia), Ken Chastain (Karen), and Jeannie Hefner (Marty); grandchildren, Tara Hills, Mandi Gane, Bekki Wade, and Tyler Hefner; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Le Zollinger, Bob Zollinger, and Beecher Zollinger; sister, Betty Ashlock; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
The family will hold a private celebration of life graveside service in the Collegedale Memorial Park.
