Shirley Jo Casteel

Shirley J. Casteel, 79, passed away from this world to her heavenly home March 13, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Casteel was born January 24, 1942 to the late Joe and Naomi Flowers. She was married to the late William (Bill) Casteel for over 50 years. She’s the sister of the late Linda Richardson.
Survived by her brother, Bill (Beverly) Flowers; sister, Wanda Faye Beaty; two wonderful children, Rodney (Becky) Casteel and Tina (John) Nix; 5 precious grandchildren, Matthew Casteel, Heather Casteel, Ryan Nix, Kelsey Nix, and Lindsey Cagle; 3 precious great-grandchildren, all of Cleveland. She grew up in her home church, Eastside Church of Christ, where she was a faithful member for over 60 years. Shirley is a member of North Bradley Church of Christ. Mrs. Casteel was a wonderful Christian lady, who stayed faithful until the Lord called her home.
There will be no visitation or funeral service due to Covid. There will be a graveside service for immediate family only with Minister Bill Maynard officiating. Pallbearers will be John Nix, Heather Casteel, Ryan Nix, Matthew Casteel, Kelsey Nix and Bill Flowers. In lieu of flowers, please send money to Eastside Church of Christ for the needy, North Bradley Church of Christ or Hearth Hospice of Cleveland in honor of Shirley J. Casteel.
